As Lewis Hamilton gears up for a race weekend in Singapore, his pet dog Roscoe was seen relaxing at home on social media after a vet visit. Hamilton shared the update on his bulldog’s page on Instagram along with two adorable pictures.
An animal lover, Hamilton has been a pet parent to two dogs, Roscoe and Coco. The latter unfortunately passed away in 2020. The 11-year-old bulldog is often seen in the paddock and Mercedes-AMG’s garage and seems quite fond of the attention and affection it receives.
Now, as the 7x Formula 1 world champion prepares to depart for the Singapore Grand Prix, he shared an update about Roscoe’s visit to a veterinarian on Instagram. The British driver did not specify any illness and mentioned the visit as a general check-up. He captioned the post:
“Relaxing’s after a visit’s to the vet. Alway’s good’s to get check up’s, and take’s care’s of yourself. A healthy’s vegan diet’s and regular exercise goes a long’s way’s 🥬🐾 I’ms all about’s health and wellness ⚕️”
Roscoe is often seen wearing fashionable outfits and traveling alongside Hamilton to several racing venues worldwide.
Roscoe was last seen interacting playfully with Charles Leclerc’s young pup Leo during the 2024 British Grand Prix weekend. Their interaction was shared by Formula 1’s official page on X, captioned:
“Leo and Roscoe finally met! 😍🐶”

Apart from F1, Hamilton claims Roscoe likes riding on a quad bike. Also, much like the 38-year-old Mercedes-AMG racer, his dog is on a vegan diet.
“One of the best decisions I ever took in my life” – Lewis Hamilton shares how Roscoe came into his life
Seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton is inseparable from his pet dog Roscoe. The British driver shared about how the bulldog entered his life in a video on YouTube for his Mercedes-AMG fans.
While answering a fan’s question on why he named his dog Roscoe, Hamilton gave a heartfelt insight.
“I don’t know, I just thought it was a cool, fun name. I remember being online, looking online for rescues. There’s some page I found that had like 1,000 bulldogs and I just went through all of them and then I came across this one picture and I was like that’s him. And that was like one of the best decisions I ever took in my life,” he said. [8:20 onwards]
Apart from sharing about Roscoe, Hamilton also interacted with several other dogs in the video while answering fan questions.
