Tori Spelling who was competing on this season of “Dancing with the Stars” was the latest eliminee from the show during an emotional episode. The actress, who was partnering with Pasha Pashkov, performed a rumba number to the song “This Is Me” from “The Greatest Showman.”
The routine earned them a total of 19 out of a possible 30 points which brought their two-week total to 36 but unfortunately it was not enough. Her elimination sent shockwaves amongst fans.
Spelling’s exit from the show caused a lot of reactions, with one fan saying, “I feel bad for Pasha but I’m not shocked Tori went home.” The fan went on to point out that Spelling does not have a lot of fans due to the fact that her reputation has not always been clean.
Others weren’t surprised either, with one commenter writing about her time on Beverly Hills 90210, “She’s not one of the popular or well-loved 90210 actors.” Another shared that they have heard similar sentiment, “My Gen X mother said something similar about Tori and people not liking her.”
Fans of the show poured in their opinion, and it seemed like many of them were not surprised Spelling was eliminated.
Of course, that is not to say that there were not people who were not shocked or upset. One fan wrote, “She deserved to stay! I’m still in shock!” Another echoed the sentiment, writing, “I can’t believe she was voted out. She deserved a few more weeks.”
Spelling however took the elimination in stride. She said that for a while she had thought about the show, and whether she should compete on it. The idea initially terrified her, she shared. However, at 51, she confessed that a part of her now wondered why she hadn’t done it sooner! She said while her time on the show had been short, she had enjoyed it immensely. She said she was grateful for the opportunity as it had made her believe in herself more.
