Fans slam ‘loser’ college football player after he dressed up as Patrick Mahomes for a game

College football fans have slammed a ‘loser’ quarterback after he dressed up like Patrick Mahomes while arriving at his first game of the season.

Nebraska rookie quarterback Dylan Raiola came off of the Cornhuskers team bus with the same one-tone, one-frame sunglasses the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback typically wears before games and practices.

Raiola came into his first collegiate game as a true freshman with plenty of eyes on him due to being the starting quarterback at a big-time program like Nebraska.

That couples with being one of the top quarterback recruits in the country last year and his late-cycle flip from a commitment to Georgia, with his time on the Cornhuskers leading to immediate playing time.

Here is the fan reaction to Raiola’s pregame outfit form his game on Saturday.

‘What a loser, profiting off looking like another dude,’ one college football fan said.

‘Being your own person is hard I guess,’ another person stated on X.

‘Making your personality someone else is insane. idolizing is different than being a knock off version,’ a football fan added.

‘Buddy gonna regret cosplaying in 2 years,’ another fan concluded.

One person who likes the look was Mahomes himself, who responded on X by calling Raiola is ‘lil cuzzo.’

Tyreek Hill, Mahomes former teammate, did not take Raiola’s look seriously in a previous outfit, posting ‘boy ain’t no way’ to a July iteration.

Doppelganger or not, Raiola used the look to lead the Cornhuskers to victory over UTEP 40-7 while throwing for 238 yards and two touchdowns.

Nebraska has not had a winning season since 2016, a staggering figure for a traditional college football power.

A quarterback with the potential of Raiola could be the catalyst for Nebraska to buck that trend.
