Travis Kelce’s Taylor Swift-named racehorse, Swift Delivery, competes as favorite in Toronto Cup Stakes

A racehorse named Swift Delivery that three-time Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce bought into has finished second in its latest start.

Sent off as the even-money favorite, Swift Delivery was beaten in the $125,000 Toronto Cup Stakes at Woodbine on Saturday. He paid $2.50 and $2.10 as his two-race winning streak ended.

Swift Delivery was last in the field of six in the early going of the one-mile race on the EP Taylor turf course.

Under Patrick Husbands, the three-year-old gelding made a move on the outside, but couldn’t overcome eventual winner Piper’s Factor. The 7-1 shot paid $16.60 to win.

Team Valor International founder and CEO Barry Irwin said Swift Delivery is not named after pop superstar Taylor Swift, who Kelce has been dating. Kelce attended the Kentucky Derby in May with the Zoldan family, who also acquired a ‘significant share’ in Swift Delivery along with the NFL star, last week.

Kelce is now a partial racehorse owner after attending his first Kentucky Derby back on May 4

The horse is also owned by Gary Barber – a South African-born American film producer, who was formerly the chairman and CEO of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. He is also co-founder of Spyglass Entertainment.

Bruce Zoldan is the founder and CEO of Phantom Fireworks – the largest pyrotechnic retailer in North America. His son, Alex, is close with Kelce.

Swift Delivery won his first start for Team Valor and Barber in an allowance race in July at Woodbine. The horse is also sponsored by Taylor Made.

Last week, Kelce’s nine-figure podcast deal with his brother, Jason, was announced by Amazon for $100million.

Exclusive right ad sales and distribution rights will now belong to Wondery, which belongs to Amazon.

‘We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Wondery for the next phase of New Heights,’ the Kelces said in a statement.

‘We love this show, and the fanbase that has grown with us over the last two seasons. Wondery understands the shared vision and will offer a wealth of experience and resources to take us to New Heights!

‘We are going to create some groundbreaking moments together through this partnership.’
