Bruce Springsteen, 73, “heartbroken” after health issues force him to make massive call

Fans are clamoring to send Bruce Springsteen messages of support after the legendary musician was forced to cancel the remainder of his September 2023 tour dates due to ongoing health issues.

“The Boss” apologized directly to his legions of fans after a statement informing them that all September shows would be postponed as Springsteen receives treatment for symptoms related to peptic ulcer disease.

The statement read: “Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023.

“Mr. Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease and the decision of his medical advisors is that he should postpone the remainder of his September shows.”

Peptic ulcer disease is described by the Mayo Clinic as occurring when “acid in the digestive tract eats away at the inner surface of the stomach or small intestine. The acid can create a painful open sore that may bleed.”

Following the announcement of the postponement of his shows, Springsteen sent an apologetic message to his fanbase, describing himself as “heartbroken”.

“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows,” the 73-year-old said.

He continued: “First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

“We’ve been having a blast at our US shows, and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all, Bruce.”

Springsteen’s health issues mean that the rock legend and the E Street Band won’t be playing in Syracuse, New York. Several other originally scheduled concerts at other locations including Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Ohio, New York, and Washington D.C, are also under threat.

A 20-time Grammy Award winner, Springsteen has been entertaining the masses across and incredible six decades. With tracks such as Born to Run, Dancing in the Dark, and Born in the U.S.A. firm favorites even today, the New Jersey-born singer has long since cemented his place in music history.

Even so, fans will be praying he can get back to doing what he does best sooner rather than later. As recently as August 18, “The Boss” canceled two shows due an undisclosed illness, while at the end of May he sparked fears after suffering a fall on stage in Amsterdam.

We’re hoping Bruce is well on the road to recovery. If you like reading about this gifted musician, check out the heartbreaking moment he revealed his wife of 31 years had saved him from crippling depression!
